
Sam Dingle
Sam began his career as a working musician in New Orleans Louisiana, playing venues around town including Preservation Hall, and The Mahaila Jackson Theater with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
After graduating Loyola University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies in 2016, and gigging full time for three years in New Orleans, Sam moved to Tallahassee Florida to study under Rodney Jordan, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from Florida State University in 2021. In addition to Rodney Jordan, Sam has been privileged to study privately with working musicians and instructors including Ed Wise, Roland Guerin, John Clayton, Sean Hurley, and Tim Marks.
Sam’s experience with students includes teaching university courses, ensembles, big bands, and private lessons. He has also held multiple roles with the Litchfield Jazz Camp where he holds his current role as Co-Director of Residential Life.
Sam currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee where he plays full time both live and in the studio. He has played and recorded professionally with artists such as Leroy Jones, Old Hickory, Mary Moore, Kylie Frey, Dave Fenley, and many others.
